Recreation & Activities
The McCloud River Lodge is located close to the McCloud River with its waterfalls and some of the best fishing in Siskiyou County and the Northwest. With the McCloud golf course only quarter-mile away and the McCloud Reservoir just beyond that, the recreation opportunities are endless when you stay in the comfort of the Lodge. Hiking and nature trails are near by with, of course, majestic Mt. Shasta dominating the scene. Climber's have close access to the Clear Creek Trailhead for those wishing to climb to the summit of Mt. Shasta. If going to the summit sounds to far away then hikers can enjoy the numerous backpacking trails to waterfalls, deep icy glaciers, and wildflower laden alpine meadows, all within a short distance from the Lodge!
